This Friday, May 18th, the Friends of the Sherwood Library will be holding a fundraiser at the Sherwood Library. Some local "Friends" members have been chosen to be incarcerated until they raise $25 or more for the cause, including Mr. Hange. The 13th Annual Apache Run 5K, Alex’s One Mile Fun Run, and the Jason Kline 1.5 Memorial Run will be held on Saturday, June 9th. The 5K is at 9:00AM, Alex’s Run is at 8:30AM, and the Jason Kline Memorial Run is at 9:45AM. All profits benefit the Fairview Athletic Boosters and will go towards the field house. There is an entry form with more info here. You can also register online here. Walkers are encouraged as well as runners. Please consider participating and supporting the Athletic Boosters and also showing support for the families of Alex Ellert and Jason Kline. If anyone is interested in sponsoring the 5K, you can get your name on 150 shirts and mentioned several times throughout the race for $50.00. The Relay for Life Committee will host a pancake & sausage breakfast on Saturday, June 9th starting at 8:00am. The event will be held in the High School parking lot (weather permitting) and will coincide with the Apache 5K and the baseball/softball games. More information can be found here. The breakfast will benefit the Defiance County Relay for Life Chapter. If there are any question, feel free to ask.  Thank you!

Where:  Defiance High School Track

This year’s Defiance County Relay for Life will be held on Friday, June 29th and Saturday, June 30th at the Defiance High School track. The opening ceremony will begin at 6:00 on Friday evening and closing ceremonies will start at noon on Saturday. We are looking for individuals to sign up to walk in half hour increments starting Friday evening and continuing to Saturday morning.  If you are interested in joining us please let me know. Our team will also be ordering special shirts to wear at Relay. Once I receive an electronic copy of the design I will email it to anyone that is interested.
